Sagmal is a macOS application for dictation and AI-assisted workflows. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
What we store
- Account data (email, name) via Clerk for authentication.
- Usage metadata (request counts, audio durations, token counts, and costs) for billing and abuse prevention.
- Payment data via Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
We never store your content. Your audio and transcripts are never written to our servers.
How your content is handled
Our backend is a pass-through proxy. Your audio and transcripts pass through it in memory only, on their way to the provider, and are discarded once the response is returned. Live transcription goes one step further: audio streams directly from your Mac to Deepgram over an encrypted connection authorized by a short-lived token, so it never touches our servers at all.
Your content is processed by third-party providers — Deepgram for transcription, and OpenRouter together with the model providers it routes to for transcript cleanup. These providers handle your content under their own privacy policies and may retain it in accordance with their terms. We do not control their retention.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account at any time from your account page. Email privacy@sagmal.app with questions.
